Fargo Firefighters going door-to-door to campaign for Measure 3

FARGO (KVRR) – The Fargo firefighters union was knocking on doors Thursday to spread the word about Fargo Measure 3.
Voters will decide whether to approve a quarter-cent sales tax for 20 years to help fund the Fargo Fire and Police Departments.
The union says the money could be used exclusively to build a fire station, law enforcement training center, for equipment or recruiting.
Fargo City Commission would allocate all funds raised to the Police and Fire Departments, but would control how much each department gets per year.

Fargo voters will also decide whether to approve a 20-year-long quarter-cent sales tax to improve the Fargodome and a 25-year-long 3% lodging tax on hotel rooms.
