Man Arrested Two Years After Assaulting His Girlfriend at a Perham House Party

PERHAM, Minn. (KVRR/KFGO) — An Otter Tail County man accused of assaulting his girlfriend two years ago has finally been caught.

29-year-old Jose Pena of Perham was taken into custody Sunday and made his first court appearance Monday.

Pena is charged with 3rd-degree assault for the incident that happened on October 8th, 2022.

According to court documents, they were at a house party in Perham when he assaulted his girlfriend, dragged her down the stairs, and repeatedly punched and kicked her before she was able to escape.

He told officers he had been in multiple fights at the party.
