Teen Suffers Artery Rupture Behind The Knee During Football Game In Mayville, ND

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR/KFGO) — An Enderlin, North Dakota teen is at Children’s Hospital in Minneapolis after a freak accident during a high school football game in Mayville.
14-year-old Luke Wall is an 8th grader and plays for Enderlin’s varsity team.
Late in the second quarter of Friday night’s game, Wall was hit in the knee.
He was taken to Fargo and then to Minneapolis and underwent surgery due to an artery rupture behind the knee, cutting off blood to his foot.
They were able to take an artery from his good leg and use it in his hurt leg.
He will have to undergo other surgeries.
