State Fire Marshal releases preliminary findings in deadly wildfires

BISMARCK, N.D. (KVRR) — North Dakota’s State Fire Marshal releases preliminary findings of the deadly wildfires in northwestern North Dakota
The investigations are in the early stages but so far, there’s no evidence that the fires were intentionally set.
The team looked at New Town/Dinwoodie, Keene Township, and Williams County fires, specifically the fires near Ray and Highway 85.
The fires that started on October 5th killed two people.
Others have been injured and more than 100 people have evacuated.
The official cause of origin report will be available when the investigation is complete which typically takes one to two months.
