#9/10 UND Football rides defense and Bo Belquist to 31-7 win over Northern Iowa

GRAND FORKS (KVRR) – The UND Fighting Hawks (5-2) picked up a 31-7 win over the Northern Iowa Panthers (2-5) thanks in large part by the defense and wide receiver Bo Belquist. UND controlled most of the game as the defense smothered the Panthers on many drives.

The defense held the Panthers to only 214 total yards while the offense churned up 386 yards. Belquist had 72 yards on six catches, including a 34-yard touchdown pass from Simon Romfo. UNI had no offense for the rushing attack as they ran for 267 yards on 50 attempts.

UND will now leave the confines of the Alerus Center next weekend on the October 26 to take on Youngstown State in Ohio for a Missouri Valley Football Conference battle.
