Hillsboro/Central Valley’s Claire Grinde wins ND Class B Girls State 5K; knocks off 3-time defending champ

JAMESTOWN (KVRR) – Even with a three-time defending champion in the field, Hillsboro/Central Valley’s Claire Grinde didn’t allow that from making history of her own. The seventh grader won the North Dakota Class B Girls State 5K with a time of 18:50.3

Grinde beat out Des Lacs-Burlington/Lewis and Clark’s Brynn Hanson who had won the event the last three years by 32 seconds.
