City Hall hosts Fargo Youth Initiative

FARGO, N.D. — The Fargo Youth Initiative held its first in-person Impact Fargo event for students at Fargo City Hall, Tuesday.

High school students from all across the Fargo area were invited to speak about how they feel in their community.

Their focus was on learning more about Fargo and issues they want to be brought up to city leaders.

Various speakers, including city commissioners, came in to speak and listen to students’ concerns and questions.

“We’re really focusing on how can we better ourselves, how can we be the difference. Fred really talked about making an impact on your community and speaking up and that’s all about today. Our theme today is building tomorrow together and we are the next generation so this event really gives them the opportunity to speak up and speak out,” said Fargo Youth Initiative Chair Kenzie Olson.

Fargo Youth Initiative serves as an advisory body to the Fargo City Commission.
