Fargo police identify people involved in officer involved shooting

FARGO — The Fargo Police Department is identifying the man officers shot and killed in south Fargo Wednesday, Nov. 13.

They are also identifying the officers involved in the shooting.

The man who died is 65-year-old Peter Greco of Fargo.

According to police, they responded to a call about a suicidal man at around 10:50 Wednesday morning.

Officers learned Greco was inside his home, armed.

They talked with him, and Greco eventually came out of the house with a handgun.

Two officers opened fire.

Greco was pronounced dead on scene.

The officers involved in the shooting are Sergeant Lucas Mock and Officer Princeten Harris. 

Mock is a 8-year veteran of the department.

He serves as the day shift supervisor in the Neighborhood Services Division and commander of the department’s Crowd Management Team.

Harris started with the department 10 months ago.

He is a recent graduate of the Fargo Police Academy Class VII, and is still completing field training.

Both Mock and Harris are on paid administrative leave as the North Dakota Bureau of Criminal Investigation continues its investigation of the shooting.
