WEST FARGO — A West Fargo woman was arrested Thursday, Nov. 14, after fleeing police.

According to a release by the West Fargo Police Department, officers responded to reports of a disturbance near the intersection of Seventh Avenue E. and Ninth Street E. at around 11:20 p.m. Thursday.

When officers arrived, they found a woman who had parked their vehicle in the way of oncoming traffic and stepped out.

Police contacted her, and she got back into the vehicle and fled.

They say she drove south towards the intersection of 10th Avenue E. and 9th Street E., then headed west on 13th Avenue E.

Officers pulled the vehicle over in the 600 block of 13th Avenue S. for reckless driving, according to police.

That’s when the driver fled again, heading towards the 200 block of 13th Avenue W., where police used a PIT maneuver, stopping the vehicle.

According to police, the driver refused to get out, so they used less-than-lethal means to get her to exit the vehicle.

Police say no one got hurt.

Heather Peck, 43, of West Fargo, is facing formal charges of  for felony reckless endangerment, felony fleeing in a motor vehicle, felony possession of methamphetamine paraphernalia, possession of methamphetamine and reckless driving.

Additional charges are possible.
