Jelly Belly Aircraft Makes Landing at Fargo Air Museum

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) — A stunt pilot with local ties came in for a landing at Fargo Air Museum in a very colorful airplane.

North Dakota native Kent Pietsch landed the Jelly Belly Interstate Cadet aircraft.

He has flown for more than 400 shows across the U.S.

Pietsch has received several awards and honors for his aerial performances, including being the 72nd inductee into the International Council of Air Shows.

But it’s the freedom that comes from flying that he really loves.

“It’s the freedom of going where you want. If I wanted to go to there, if I wanted to land in Denver, I could. If I wanted to land in Sheyenne, I could. It’s freedom. And the freedom of being able to turn that airplane and work against the air, like a bird, it’s pretty neat,” said Kent Pietsch, Pilot.

Pietsch will be sitting with the museum’s collections manager for an interview about his flying career, followed by a Q and A session on Tuesday.
