The Village Family Service Center offers remote counseling

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) — The Village Family Service Center is now offering virtual counseling services for people in North Dakota and Minnesota who can’t make the trip to Fargo.

It’s part of their mental health Intensive Outpatient Program. The remote option will open The Village to clients who otherwise live too far away from Fargo to receive their services in person.

The virtual service will help clients get the care they need while keeping up with their daily life.

JoDee Knipfer, Regional Program Supervisor, said, “We decide if that individual is appropriate for the level of care, because it is a higher level of care, and if they are we get them set up. So right now we have, I believe, three to four already slated to go, to start via telehealth and so that should happen next week.”

The Village’s Intensive Outpatient Program has been available since 2016.
