Gov. Walz Presents Minnesota’s Thanksgiving Turkey

ST. PAUL, Minn. (KVRR) — Governor Tim Walz presented Minnesota’s Thanksgiving turkey at the Capitol.

With over 600 turkey farms statewide, Minnesota is the top turkey producer in the country

Gov. Walz said, “Our farmers and growers feed the world while driving Minnesota’s agricultural economy. I am grateful for their work to ensure we can enjoy our favorite foods this holiday season.”

On Monday, the governor announced $5 million in new funding to fight food insecurity ahead of the holidays.
