DWI Holiday Enforcement Blitz Begins Across Minnesota

MOORHEAD, Minn. (KVRR) — With travel picking up for the holiday season, Minnesota State Patrol is cracking down on intoxicated drivers.

The patrol is starting its DWI enforcement blitz tonight and running it through New Year’s Eve.

This blitz means there will be more enforcement and more officers patrolling all across Minnesota.

The patrol wants people to be smarter and more educated to avoid any of the risks that come with driving impaired.

“The goal is really not about the number of tickets we write or arrests we make, it’s about trying to prevent that very thing, and just getting the information out there, get education out there. We want people to make good smart choices each and every time they get in the vehicle,” said Sgt. Jesse Grabow with Minnesota State Patrol.

This is the busiest time of the year for DWI’s in Minnesota.
