Ramsey County Deputy Charged And On Leave

DEVILS LAKE, N.D. (KVRR/KFGO) — A deputy with the Ramsey County Sheriff’s Office is on leave and facing a misdemeanor criminal charge.

42-year-old Samuel Shively is charged with misdemeanor sexual assault-offensive in Ramsey County District Court.

Sheriff Bryan Lang says Shively has been on administrative leave since October 24.

He has been with the department for six years.

North Dakota BCI is handling the case.

Benson County State’s Attorney Jim Wang is prosecuting.

If convicted, Shively could face a maximum 360 days in jail and a $3,000 fine.
