Driver Loses Control, Strikes NHDP Vehicle
The state trooper was outside their vehicle investigating another crash when the incident occurred.

CASS COUNTY, N.D. – All parties involved feel lucky to be unharmed after a scary collision on the evening of December 14 in Cass County.
An unnamed state trooper pulled their 2020 Ford Explorer to the right shoulder to investigate a crash scene on eastbound Interstate 94, around mile marker 342.
At 7:07 P.M., 49-year-old Karen Galuszka lost control of her 2018 Toyota Sienna on the icy roads and struck the Ford in the driver’s side rear with its passenger side rear.
The state trooper was outside their vehicle investigating the initial crash, so they were not injured, and Galuszka was also unhurt.
The Cass County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the crash. Galuszka was charged with care required in operating a motor vehicle, which generally carries a fine of thirty dollars.
