The Salvation Army Celebrates Christmas With A Free Meal

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) –The Salvation Army invited members of the community for a free Christmas meal early Tuesday afternoon.

The meal included baked ham, parsley-buttered potatoes, green beans, and dessert.

Each year the Salvation Army serves more than 150 people during this Christmas gathering

Some people have returned each year making new friends and memories.

“People are thoroughly enjoying you can hear the chatter in the background. So the fellowship and the camaraderie is just as important as the food we serve and its part of the joy we hope to serve at Christmas,” said Major Abe Tamayo, Salvation Army.

Currently, the Salvation Army is at sixty-one percent of its goal for its holiday campaign.

You can give through December 31 at fargosa.org.
