Fargo Public Library Brings “Silent” Reading to Uncorked Lounge
The library has one of these events every month at various locations around town.
FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) – Turns out, sipping wine and tucking into your favorite novel isn’t just an activity for home.
The Fargo Public Library hosted a “Silent” reading event at Uncorked Lounge.
Participants were told to bring their own books or one of the two librarians on hand would be happy to provide them with recommended reading material.
Uncorked Lounge is normally closed on Sundays, but the owner, Jessica Medler, said that they always jump at the chance to host unique events like this and get more involved with the community.
“We just want a place where the community can come in, be with girlfriends, be with family members, maybe make some new friends, and just enjoy wine or whatever it is you’d like to enjoy,” said Medler.
“It’s a nice opportunity to get to do something a little different.”
Fargo Public Library actually hosts one of these silent reading events every month at various locations around town and if you attend 3 of them, you get a prize.
So keep your eyes peeled for future announcements if that piques your interest.
