State of the Cities Held And Mayors Talk About Construction And Safety
FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) — Mayors of the metro’s five major cities take the stage at The Chamber’s State of the Cities.
First was updates on the Fargo-Moorhead Area Diversion Project, the revitalization of downtown Moorhead and the shared vision for a new convention center that was approved by voters in November.
But the main event was the panel of the metro’s mayors as they touted their cities accomplishments and answered questions.
They talked about housing issues and about the need to find a solution to the crowded Cass County Jail.
“When we’re returning people that have felonies back on the street – on a daily basis – we need to fix that. We need to fix it because public safety is at risk,” said Mayor Bernie Dardis of West Fargo.
Dilworth Mayor Chad Olsen pointed out how public participation is key for local governments to find the best plans for the future.
