FARGO — Students at Discovery Middle School were sent home early due to a lack of heat in some of the school’s classrooms.

In a release, the school said it was due to a malfunction in the school’s heat pump, leaving many classrooms too cold.

Students were sent home at 11:30 on Tuesday, before lunch. Busses ran their normal routes, but parents had to find rides for their kids if they don’t ride the bus. Office staff remained at the school until all students had been picked up.

The school said that it will take time to fix the heat pump, and that they are working quickly to address the issue.
