33rd Annual Red River Valley Boat and Marine Products Show.

FARGO — The Red River Valley Boat and Marine Products Show is underway, and vendors are showcasing their best tech to take on the lakes.

The event is being held in the Fargodome all weekend long with over 40 different vendors.

One of newer tech toys at this year’s show are the front facing sonar. The devices show what’s under the water in front of the boat, and have been the center of debate among professional fishing leagues.

“There’s entry level, to mid level, to luxury, whether you’re upgrading or you’re downsizing. ‘The kids are gone, we don’t need the powerboat anymore. Let’s just get a nice, little cruiser pontoon,'” said Show Manager Barry Cenaiko. “Everything is here. Different sizes, different price points, so whatever works for you, you’ll find it out at the Fargodome.”

Cenaiko also said that while pontoons have been steadily popular for several years, there has been increased interest in the speedier wake boats.

The boat show runs through Sunday, Jan. 26.
