Advocates From United Way and FM Coalition To End Homelessness Have Reached Thirty Day Goal

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) — Advocates from United Way and FM Coalition to End Homelessness have reached the thirty-day mark and identified the key factors of their plans to end homelessness.
Objectives for the first benchmark included finding key partners, financial resources and to establish an advisory group.
They founded a committee of fourteen organizations, including Churches United, Fargo VA, YWCA Cass Clay, and others.
With their plans taking shape they have started a fund they have named, ‘United to End Homelessness” with a goal to raise $2.5 million.
“We wanted to make sure that we were developing the appropriate buy-in. Really ensuring that we were seeking out what’s worked well with other communities across the nation and what makes sense for our community,” said Chandler Esslinger, Executive Director of the FM Coalition to End Homelessness.
The committee will meet in the following days to identify the next immediate steps.
