West Fargo coach resigns amid internal investigation

WEST FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) — A longtime coach at West Fargo Public Schools has resigned amid an internal investigation.
Pat Johnson coached West Fargo United girls hockey and West Fargo High softball and is a teacher at West Fargo High School.
In a statement from the school, activities directors were made aware last Friday of concerns from student-athletes on the girls hockey team regarding Johnson.
When he was informed of an internal investigation on Wednesday, Johnson submitted his letter of resignation from both coaching positions.
The personnel matter remains under investigation by the district.
