BECKER COUNTY, Minn. (KVRR/FOX 9) — Senator Nicole Mitchell, of Minnesota, faces an additional charge for the burglary at her step-mother’s home in Detroit Lakes.

The charge is possession of burglary or theft tools.

The criminal complaint says officers found a blue crow bar at the scene.

They also found “faint” pry marks on the egress window where the crowbar was found.

Mitchell told officers last April that she was trying to get some of her deceased father’s belongings from the house.

Mitchell’s trial is set to start on June 16.
