St. Mary’s Cathedral Will Showcase Replica of The Shroud of Turin

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) — A life-size replica of the Shroud of Turin is scheduled to be on public display in August at St. Mary’s Cathedral in Fargo.

The touring exhibit, “The Man of The Shroud,” will present 60 information panels detailing the history and science of the Shroud.

It is believed to bear the image of a man who was scourged and crucified, otherwise known to be the cloth Jesus’ body was wrapped in in the tomb.

St. Maximilian in Libertyville, Illinois, and the Knights of Columbus have helped make the replica of the shroud available nationwide.

“People need to realize that when they come they’re going to learn about the pain and suffering that Christ suffered in his passion and death. So be prepared to come to be educated in the science and also to be prepared to strengthen your faith,” said Paul Braun, Director of Communications for the Diocese of Fargo.

The exhibit will be at St Mary’s Cathedral from August 23rd to September 1st
