Metal pipes fall from semi trailer on I-29; 6 vehicles damaged

GALCHUTT, N.D. (KVRR-KFGO) – Six vehicles were damaged when metal pipes fell from a semi trailer on Interstate 29 Monday night.

It happened around 11:45 p.m. about five miles north of the Highway 13 interchange.

The Richland County Sheriff’s Office says the semi was southbound when the driver lost control trying to avoid a deer. The semi crossed the median and the pipes fell off the trailer and onto the northbound lanes before ending up in the ditch.

No one was hurt.

The crash is under investigation.
