HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif. (CNN/FOX) — Former Minnesota Vikings player Chris Kluwe was arrested during a Huntington Beach, California, city council meeting Tuesday and says he wants other officials to “start engaging in civil disobedience.”

The NFL veteran spoke against a plaque with a “MAGA” acronym being placed outside the city’s library for its 50th anniversary.

The plaque will have the words “Magical,” “Alluring,” “Galvanizing” and “Adventurous” and also the phrase: Making America Great Again.

The former punter thinks the plaque is divisive and says libraries are supposed to be politically neutral places for the community.

Police carried him out of the meeting and he says he was held for four hours.

The council voted unanimously to approve the plaque.
