‘Knock ’em Down for Jeromy Brown’ Reaches 6th Anniversary

The bowling tournament is held sometime in February every year because that's the month of Jeromy's birthday.

MOORHEAD, Minn. (KVRR) – Sunset Lanes in Moorhead continues to be a hotbed for people who want to roll some strikes and raise money for good causes.

The sixth annual Knock ’em Down with Jeromy Brown Charity Bowl took place this weekend.

The entire alley was blocked off starting at 4 o clock Saturday and the lanes were filled with people of all intellectual capabilities, sharing the space and having a great time.

The Jeromy Brown Family Fund is focused on inclusivity and support for people with disabilities, and they say this tournament is a great representation of their mission.

“It’s always awesome. It’s fun because we have people like David that have been here for all six years,” said Kennedy Bresnahan, president of the Jeromy Brown Family Fund, referring to two-time champion David Dahlgren.

“We also have people that are brand new to our event, so it’s cool seeing the word spread about it.”

The foundation says the money will help with several projects, such as going towards the $100,000 spent on the naming rights to the new gymnasium at the Peace Academy in Fargo.
