Supporters of Ukraine Hold Rally on Veterans Memorial Bridge
FARGO, N.D. (KVRR)– Activists gathered at Veterans Memorial Bridge to show their support for Ukraine and to protest the United States apparent change in policy.
The U.S. split with its European allies by refusing to blame Russia for its invasion of Ukraine in votes on three U.N. resolutions seeking to end the war which started three years ago today.
These activists brought signs, flags, and sunflowers, Ukraine’s national flower, to the local rally.
They were there in support of the war torn country and some in attendance have Ukrainian descendants.
“My great grandfather immigrated after World War I after fighting against the Russians in WWI. I think Trump’s policies need to try to support freedom and true democracy, and I would like to see it as such,” said Dale Grigorenko.
This is the second rally in as many days in the metro.
