Fargo Youth Hockey Addresses Parent Fight
The altercation took place after the conclusion of a game at the Coliseum.
FARGO, N.D. – The youth hockey community in the metro is still recovering after a fight broke out between parents following a game on Saturday.
The peewee game between 11 and 12 year olds took place at the Coliseum in the late afternoon on February 22.
After the game concluded, a fight broke out between parents in the stands.
Fargo Police arrived but nobody involved wanted to file a report or name names, and no further action was taken.
The Fargo Youth Hockey association says suspensions have already been handed out and they feel this behavior is not representative of most hockey parents.
“This was a clear violation of our parent code of conduct,” said Joe Christianson, executive director of the Youth Hockey Association.
“We did institute suspensions that exceed what the NDAHA would recommend.”
