Three Individuals Have Been Recognized For Their Heroic Deeds By Fargo Police Department
FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) — While taking care of one goat may seem like a lot, for Skip Anderson it was no hassle.
“The big thing is just do the right thing. Do what’s in your heart and like I said if animals need to be cared for, take care of them. If people need to be taken care of, help them. And we were able to put those two things together and do it for the community of Fargo,” said Anderson.
Skip Anderson, was contacted by Community Service Officer LaVerne Buzick to assist the 14 goats that became stranded after their owner experienced a medical emergency.
“I had no idea what to do. The dogs I could handle, the goats I didn’t know what to do. So I ended up calling NDSU, they’re an Ag school, and eventually being forwarded to Skip,” said Buzick.
“I felt it was important for us to just jump right in and go care for those animals. It was cold, it was one of the cold spells that we were having in December. And knew that they needed a little extra attention,” said Anderson.
Bradley Roller had no time to prepare for what would happen to him when he ended up getting shot while coming to the aid of a mother and her child
“I didn’t think I just reacted. There wasn’t time, there was no time. I never even saw the person who shot me. And from what I understand they were about six feet away from me,” said Roller.
Roller is currently in physical therapy for his arm and recently returned to work.
