Fargo police, SWAT, street crimes unit take two wanted men into custody

FARGO (KVRR-KFGO) – The Red River Valley SWAT Team assisted Fargo police and the Metro Street Crimes Unit with a high-risk, knock-and-announce search warrant at an apartment building within the 1700 block of 40th St. S shortly after 2 p.m. Friday.
Due to the criminal history of the suspects, the SWAT Team was was to serve the search warrant and safely arrest the suspects. Both men were found in the apartment when the warrant was served. They complied with commands given by SWAT team members and were detained.
SWAT used a flash sound diversionary device to create a loud bang and bright flash of light. A flash sound diversionary device is used to distract suspects.
Police say it is an ongoing investigation and no additional information has been released.
