Drekker Brewing And American Red Cross Offer A Free Beer For Blood Donation

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) — Here is a unique way to increase blood donations: give donors a free 12-ounce beer

Drekker Brewing Company partnering with the American Red Cross for a community blood drive.

March is Red Cross Month.

They provide about 40% of the nation’s blood and blood cell component supply to save lives.

In the United States every two seconds someone needs blood.

“It’s just an amazing way to do so because the blood to blood you by donating blood and giving blood that’s changing someone’s life. You might be saving someone’s life. It’s just an incredible way to give back. And to make that impact, it takes about a half an hour of your day and you make that incredible impact,” said Kimberly Vosseteig, Executive Director of the American Red Cross For Eastern North Dakota, Northwest Minnesota Chapter.

They encouraged donors to save that free beer for later.
