WASHINGTON, D.C. (KVRR) – Presidential cabinet members and the law enforcement community attended the funeral for former Secret Service Agent Clint Hill at Washington National Cathedral Tuesday.

Hill grew up in Washburn, North Dakota, attended Concordia College in Moorhead and served in the Army before joining the Secret Service.

Television host Mike Rowe, a close friend and neighbor, said he last spoke with Hill just a few days before he died.

“Lisa made me a cup of coffee and I had a nice chat with Clint, about nothing in particular. The news was on as it always was and we talked about the headlines. He asked me about my mom as he always did…and whether or not I was going to do any more of those dirty jobs. I told him, you never know.”

Others attending the funeral included Interior Secretary Doug Burgum, Secret Service Director Sean Curran and former Secretary of State Antony Blinken.

Hill died in February at age 93.
