Chamber Addresses Diversity in The Workplace At Pulse Event

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) — The Chamber is addressing how DEI: diversity, equity and inclusion, is evolving in the workplace.
Several panelists from the metro shared that diversity in the workplace is a must to have a good business.
As many D-E-I programs have been forced to dismantle, panelists suggest that companies should do what they believe is right.
Otherwise, employees may leave and go elsewhere if they don’t feel they belong.
One panelist shared that while his company does not have a D-E-I program, he still considers his workers a team.
“If you’re not hiring the best candidates where you work, you are missing out on your best teammates. And really you have to create that sense of belonging within your entire organization,” said Mike Arntson, Plant Manager at Cardinal Glass Industries.
Crime will be the topic at The Chamber’s next Pulse event on May 6.
