Update: Driver in Stolen Vehicle Tied To Burglary Arrested After Chase in Clay County

MOORHEAD, Minn. (KVRR) – A driver in a stolen vehicle is arrested after a brief afternoon pursuit east of Moorhead.

Sheriff Mark Empting says deputies and Minnesota State Patrol were tracking a stolen car that was wanted for a burglary in Anoka, Minnesota.

The driver spotted a deputy near mile marker 12 on I-94 and accelerated.

Two sets of stop sticks were used and tires on the car deflated.

The chase ended when the driver stopped on State Highway 336 and ran but was caught a short time later with the help of Clay County K9 Kash.

Twenty-three-year-old Cole Meadows of Spring Lake Park, Minnesota is being held for Felony Fleeing and Police Officer in a Motor Vehicle, Possession of a Stolen Vehicle, Fleeing on Foot, and Driving after Revocation.

Two passengers were released.
