FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) — A Fargo man has been sentenced to 30 years in prison for the death of a woman last June.

Randall Duffy, 62, appeared in Cass County court after pleading guilty in January to killing 59-year-old Jody Campbell.

Campbell was a well-known server at Blackbird Woodfire in downtown Fargo.

On June 8th 2024, Duffy called police and asked them to send someone to an apartment in the 3100 block of 33rd Street South.

He led officers to a closet where he had put Campbell’s body.

Duffy told the officers the two got into a fight over a meth pipe. After that, he said he got mad and “choked her out too long.”

He has been in jail since his arrest.
