Fargo Center For Dermatology Provides Free Skin Consultation For Skin Cancer Awareness Month

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) — May is Skin Cancer Awareness Month, and all hands are on deck at Fargo Center for Dermatology.
For the past 16 years, the dermatology clinic has offered a free skin consultation service on May 1st.
Students from NDSU and dermatologists from the clinic worked to provide consults for the dozens of people who signed up.
The doctor examines everything from a patient’s head down to between their toes to make sure there is no sign of skin cancer.
With each screening, it has provided patients with thorough information and tips on how to take care of their skin.
“Having a whole month dedicated to skin cancer awareness has really brought a lot of knowledge and awareness to patients and new patients that we have met. And it’s really gotten them to come in, and we have been able to catch skin cancers earlier. The key to better outcomes. And a better scar and a much better skin cancer treatment experience,” said Dr. Rachel Ness, Board Certified Dermatologist at Fargo Center for Dermatology.
If you would like to get checked, you can call to book an appointment for another time with Fargo Center for Dermatology.
They are located along 32nd Avenue and 43rd Street.
