Fix It Forward Celebrates 10 Years of Helping Those in Need

WEST FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) — A mission that started with a Chrysler minivan ten years ago, is being celebrated today for the work they’ve done to help those in need get cars in our community.
Fargo Moorhead West Fargo Chamber of Commerce hosted a ribbon cutting honoring the work that Fix It Forward Ministries has done in helping people in need get around in the metro.
Over the years, they’ve helped people struggling with homelessness, victims of domestic abuse, and veterans, giving them vehicles to help get their lives back on track.
They say helping these people, and seeing how much their work is needed has been surreal.
“It’s humbling. It started with a few people and it felt really great .. and to hear the stories of the meaningfulness and how it’s enabled them to get on with their life and better their lives, and the impact. It’s humbling,” said Jeremy Jensen, a co-founder.
Over the years, they say the demand has only grown, but they’re working to grow to meet it. Their goal for this year is to be able to give away 10 cars a week.
