TSA Hosts Hiring Event in West Fargo

The agency is looking for new officers to staff Hector International.

WEST FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) – Prospective TSA agents got a chance to fast-track through the hiring process at an event in West Fargo.

The agency was recruiting for its Transportation Security Officer position at the Hilton DoubleTree on East Beaton Drive.

Applicants filled out the formal application with guidance from officials, then took a proficiency exam and conducted an in-person interview.

Organizers said they expected about 60 individuals to show, with a goal to hire 10-15 of those applicants as officers.

They say a career with the TSA is more fulfilling than people realize.

“It’s one of the many ways to serve your country, and in this capacity, they provide safe air travel for passengers,” explained Bill Watson, Assistant Federal Security Director with Mission Support.

“Government employment also offers many benefits, in terms of education and health, that are great for people seeking employment.”

They also explained they were looking to hire for Hector International specifically because they are short on female agents – and because the upcoming gate expansion will require them to have more personnel in general.
