“Fit and Strong” Classes For Those Over 55 Offered By Fargo Cass Public Health

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) — Fargo Cass Public Health is inviting people to get “Fit and Strong” in their free exercise and behavior workshop.

The twelve week class invites people fifty-five and older to twice a week, 90 minute sessions for exercise and discussions.

The workshop is geared toward improving lower extremity strength and developing and maintaining an active lifestyle.

Participants say they have used these workouts to stay active and have fun.

“We want to strengthen the lower extremities of these older adults. And hopefully help them to adapt to a healthier lifestyle and then again keeping them safe and independent in their homes” said Sammy Beaudry with Fargo Cass Public Health.

Participant Orlyn Weber said, “It actually goes pretty fast. Oh we’re done already, it’s you think oh jeez you know. But each exercise is just a few minutes then go to the next one.”
