Two people injured in motorcycle crash in Becker County

DETROIT LAKES, Minn. — The Becker County Sheriff’s Office has reported a motorcycle crash leading to life-threatening injuries.
According to the sheriff’s office, they received a report of a single motorcycle crash on County Road 56, east of County Road 117 with two people injured.
When emergency personnel arrived on scene, they found the driver, identified as 26-year-old Jacob Jerome Riggle from Waubun, Minnesota, was injured. He was transported to St. Mary’s Hospital in Detroit Lakes.
The passenger, identified as 23-year-old Asia Monique Bevins, from Ogema, had life-threatening injuries and was transported by helicopter to Sanford Hospital in Fargo.
The Sheriff’s Office reports that neither Riggle nor Bevins were wearing helmets at the time of the crash. They do believe that alcohol was a factor in the crash.
The crash is still under investigation.
