Fatal Motorcycle Crash in Fargo

The North Dakota Highway Patrol says the motorcycle rider failed to stop at a 4-way intersection and drove straight into a car already traveling through.

(UPDATE 2PM JUNE 9) North Dakota Highway Patrol has identified the motorcyclist who was killed Saturday morning after crashing into an SUV.

He is 26-year-old Andrew Rose of Fargo.

FARGO, N.D. – A motorcycle rider is dead after an accident occurred on the morning of June 7th.

The North Dakota Highway Patrol says that at 11:30 a.m., a motorcycle was traveling northbound on 36th Street South in Fargo at a high rate of speed. The driver failed to stop at the stop sign at the intersection of 36th Street South and Westrac Drive. A Ford Expedition was traveling through the intersection at that time, and the motorcycle t-boned the Expedition on the passenger side.

The driver of the motorcycle, a 26-year-old man from Fargo, died from injuries sustained in the crash. The driver of the Expedition, a 47-year-old man from West Fargo, was uninjured, and the passenger, a 55-year-old woman from West Fargo, received minor injuries.

The crash remains under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol, and names will not be released at this time.
