FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) — AMVets of Fargo hit the open road this weekend for a ride to Lisbon to support their fellow veterans.

The group organized a charity ride to North Dakota Veterans Home to provide those living there with some much-needed funds.

Registration was $25 per bike, and event organizers said over 40 riders signed up.

The ride got underway Saturday morning and AMVets say they were incredibly excited to see their friends just over an hour away.

“They love it. They love it when we come there,” said Wayne Krueger.

“We’ve been there, it’s a great place. They give us tours if we want. They have a museum. They’re really excited for us to come down.”
