Red River Valley Hospice Rebrands After 40 Years

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) — Hospice of the Red River Valley has rebranded as HIA Hospice.

It stands for “Hearts In Action”.

The new name reflects the growth and expansion of care services that the nonprofit offers.

They have served parts of North Dakota and northwestern Minnesota for over 44 years.

The new location on 56th Avenue South in Fargo is also adding “Heather’s House”.

It is the first freestanding, inpatient hospice house in the state of North Dakota that will provide a short-term space for families.

They want families to feel at home and cared for.

“Because people need a break. It’s hard caring for your loved one, and it’s okay to need a break and to be family and have expert health care providers there to assist you on that journey,” said Tracee Capron, HIA Health Executive Director.

The non-profit hopes to open up its new space to the public in the coming days.
