Cyberattack could lead to some shortages at grocery stores

BISMARCK, N.D. (KVRR/N.D. NEWS COOPERATIVE) — You could see shortages of milk and other perishable products over the next week or two.

United Natural Foods Distribution Network was the victim of a cyberattack.

According to North Dakota Grocers Association, as many as 60 out of 138 grocery stores in the state are supplied by the company.

Some grocery stores are now struggling with the fallout as they try to fill orders for the coming weeks.

Rural grocery stores, many of which are already struggling to remain in operation, are likely to be hardest hit with larger stores getting orders fulfilled first.
