Beltrami County recovering after weekend storms

BELTRAMI COUNTY, Minn. (KVRR) — Massive amounts of damage in Beltrami County.

Here’s aerial footage from Saturday of the overnight storms.

The latest update from the county’s emergency management says the post office is closed. Rural and city delivery is limited

There’s no retail services due to no internet.

They are reminding people that if you encounter downed power lines, stay away.

If you smell natural gas, call 911. Additional leaks are still being discovered.

Private property owners are responsible for the removal of their debris and no pick-up will be conducted.

The Assistance Center will remain open from 8am-6pm through Wednesday where meals and water are provided.
