Breckenridge motorcycle rider seriously injured in I-94 crash

MONTICELLO, Minn. (KVRR-KFGO) – A Breckenridge, Minnesota, motorcyclist was seriously injured in a crash on I-94 in Monticello, Minnesota.

The State Patrol says the incident happened Sunday around 5 p.m.

Forty-four-year-old Nicholas Opatz of Breckenridge, Minnesota, was traveling east when he lost control and was tossed from the bike.

Opatz was taken to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries

Troopers say he was not wearing a helmet.
