Icewind Brewing Celebrates 5 Years in Business

The brewery's owner said he's impressed with how much the business has grown in that time frame.

MAPLETON, N.D. (KVRR) – Icewind Brewing celebrated a big milestone on Saturday, June 28.

The brewery, located in Mapleton, marked five years in business with a day-long bash.

They had bingo, a live auction, and a performance by local band Quick56.

Icewind’s owner says the connections they’ve made with the community are what made this day extra special.

“We’re a lot busier now than when we first opened, so I don’t have to pour beer,” laughed Rick Brandvold.

“I have time to hang out, talk to them, and drink beer. It’s very gratifying to see the community we’ve built out here.”

Maria’s Homestyle Mexican Food also had its food truck parked outside and was serving up traditional dishes all day.
