Stolen vehicle found in flames in rural Cass County

CASS COUNTY (KVRR) — The Cass County Sheriff’s Office has reported finding a stolen vehicle in Cass County.

According to the sheriff’s office, the call came at around 3:40 a.m. Tuesday morning, July 1, of a vehicle fire on State Highway 46, about two miles from Interstate 29.

When first responders arrived, they verified that nobody was inside the burning vehicle, which was fully engulfed in flames and that no one was seen near the vehicle.

The sheriff’s office says that after the fire was put out, the vehicle was towed from the scene. It was later confirmed that the vehicle had been stolen from Fargo.

The sheriff’s office is working with the Fargo Police Department in investigating the incident.

The sheriff’s office is asking anyone with information on this incident to contact either the Cass County Sheriff’s Office or the Fargo Police Department.
