Miss Preteen North Dakota shares her joy in winning the title

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) — We have a brand new winner in the contest to crown Miss Pre-Teen North Dakota.

That winner is Elena Kovaci.

She reportedly took the stage with a lot of confidence and an upbeat attitude.

This was the first time experiencing the world of pageant life for Kovaci and all her family.

Her school recommended that she participate in the contest.

Even though she’d never competed in a pageant before, Kovaci quickly learned the specific ways of walking and talking.

“I was like, oh my gosh, I can’t believe I’m doing this. This is so amazing,” said Elena Kovaci.

“It’s really been a crazy experience because everybody has a preconception about pageants. But it’s actually more about like just building their self-esteem and showing girls that you really can do anything,” said Indira Kovaci.

Elena now moves on to prepare for nationals in Orlando, Florida.
And – out there – she willll not only be representing North Dakota in competition, but also celebrating her birthday.
